Product — Package Inserts

Not a legal afterthought.
A brand moment.

The insert is what your client reads alone. It is the last impression your brand makes before the product is used. A well-designed one makes everything feel complete.

Package insert and secondary box

Content Framework

What an insert actually needs to do.

Most brands underinvest in the insert and notice it later in how their product is perceived. The insert is not just information — it is a continuation of the brand conversation that started with the box.

Good insert design combines required information with brand expression. It gives the client clarity and confidence in the same moment.

Product identification

Name, format, lot number and any required regulatory information presented clearly and without clutter.

Storage information

Temperature, light and handling requirements. Presented as guidance, not fine print.

Brand messaging

A short statement about the product or brand. One paragraph maximum. This is the tone your client leaves with.

QR codes

Links to additional resources, portal access or brand content. Gives the insert a second job beyond the box.

Design Formats

Pick the format that fits the box.

Single Sheet

Best for: Small boxes, minimal information

Clean and direct. Works for vial boxes where space is tight and the message needs to land quickly.

Bifold

Best for: Mid-size boxes

Two panels. Space for brand messaging on one side and product information on the other. The most versatile format.

Trifold

Best for: Larger boxes and kits

Three panels for brands with more to communicate. Common for multi-SKU kits and subscription boxes with additional content.
